Well people haven't lost any interest in the iPhone. Just like last year there were/are lines at Apple and AT&T retail stores. Also with the iTunes Store going down there are long wait times in many locations. Share your iPhone day experience.

Kyle in Tampa took some shots of the lines he was at.

At the Apple store these were a couple shots of the lines @ 8:30 am. The iTunes Store went offline around 10:30 am they have only been able to bring in 20 People every 40 mins.

I was sent home with my 3G iPhone unactivated, but thankfully I got to activate it through iTunes before the well expected server overloads. I'm living the iDream now!

I started Queing at 6am this morning.

I was 10th in line.

I wanted a 16Gb - as did most in the line.

The doors opened at 8.02am

and four people went in and then they announced that they were out of stock of 16Gb iPhones - they only had 4!!!!!

Then the people 6 away from me were sent home - as they only has 12 8Gb!!!! - What was the point of them bothering?????

Where are all the 16Gb iPhones.

I hope there are not too many cool apps as my iPhone will soon be full

yah that's here in Tampa. I've been in line since 830, and am now about 40th back.

The lines have been moving SUPER slow since iTunes went down. Theyre actually making regular customers wait in line to buy anything, so no one but iPhone people are here now. Had a buddy wanting to buy an iPod - he went home.

Apple stores can't activate business/corporate accounts, so they send those folks to ATT, who is out of phones locally.

Around 400-500 in line here. Posting via Apple Store wifi.

Some guy got extremely pissed, first he ripped up the paper we got (iready sheet) then he went up to the sales women, threw it at her, and screamed "IM GOING TO VERIZION" and everyone laughed.

AT&T store in Medford, OR. Only place in a 150 mile radius to get an iPhone. 3 of my friends were first, second, and third in line. Oh yeah, they've been waiting since Tuesday

In at 5:45.. 50th in line. Some lady began to cut and said "oh i'm just talking to my friends" turn out she talked to her friends all the way inside the store where she found about 20 of us teaming up and yelling at her lmao.

just my luck that i get the very angry black guy at the register who doesnt want to be there while itunes goes down... not fun. Still havent been able to activate it.
