does this mean that us people that want to unlock can go out and buy one as they wont require us to sign the 2 year contract and plan etc...

Shewwww.. i thought i broke my new 16gb white iphone.. until i read this. lol. Mine was activated in store, but i came home and restored it now can't get past the "slide for emergency" screen.. this is annoying, but nowhere near as bad as thinking i somehow bricked it.. haha.

You can flush your DNS by just restarting your computer. Any of you try that? You may also want to try it from a different computer. Or restart your router to develop a new IP address.
Good Luck.

Does anyone know what happens if I were to sign up with a new AT&T plan and cancel it within 30 days? How can they make me bring the phone back?

they will bill you the ETF if you dont' return the equipment, plus, with iphones it may be 14 days and not 30. with the old iphone it was 14 days for "Trial"

The line in austin was 300 people deep at one of the apple stores at 11:00 CST.... I turned right around and came back to work.

Yeah exactly... What does the contract say about cancelling & keeping the phone? Is it still a $175 to terminate early, or did they make some new silly cluase that you have to pay some ridiculous amout?
