it does have gps it's just not *supposed* to be able to give you turn by turn directions like in this post.

and wifi isn't always available, but isn't the 3g speed supposed to be comparable to a 2mb internet connection?

the "no turn by turn" simply applies to not being able to use the Google Maps section of the phone for the turn by turn. Since these tomtom and telenav programs use their own maps, it is aloud. From the pics i saw, i like the tomtom better...but if it never comes telenav would be fine!

ok, i think i get it. as long as you pay a company like tomtom or telenav you should be able to use it as a gps device, just can't do it out of the box for free.
do you think they'll charge a lot for the program then?

i'm sure it won't be the cheapest program out there, but, to me, it would be very worth it. As long as there is no annual fee or subscription (i don't think there will be) i'm all over it!

After purchasing the navigation software, would we be need to pay anything extra to use it? My brother has to pay for navigation on his n95, I think some how they implement 3G into the software. Or will it be free like normal GPS Systems eg Navman

While that would be nice (I don't have the 3G) I'm thinking that rather than buying a new 3G just for that, because that's pretty much the only point that piques my interest, I'm probably safer just buying a navi system where I wouldn't be staring at my smaller phone display and perhaps crashing into something. Yes, I'm a female
