it's great news now all g1 iphones could be t-mobilized and have the apps of fw 2.0, it would be nice to have 3g unlocked too but we will find out when its released, i am sure apple has something prepared for us, but at least we;ve got g1 up and running

The stupidity of Apple (yes, I said it).
Does the crippling of our Bluetooth also confuse it? Because it confuses the living crap out of me. It's an iPod too! BLUETOOTH HEADPHONES!

so whens this going to come out? I use at&t but not for long because of last months phone bill. So im going to unlock the phone to use tmobile. I just updated my iphone to 2.0

This just shows that Apple really dropped the ball on this. If SJ was smart he would've dumped AT&T and opened it up to T-mobile as well and double his cash, but oh well, us folks on T-mobile can have it anyway. THANKS DEV TEAM!!!!!!

^^ Agreed plus ATT does have more subscribers and does have a larger network. Before all the hate let me justify. I travel a LOT and I have never been in a location that I have NOT been able to use my att. Yes ok ok there are SPOTS where I can not use it but for the most part it has been great and I have been with ATT for over a decade. I have traveled with Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint and Alltell subscribers and they have asked to use my phone, I have never had to use another phone. Just my 2 cents, If Apple went with another network I would most likely NOT have gotten an iphone because of my good luck with ATT

They do, but it works on a different frequency from AT&T's.

They do but currently 3G is available in New York only.

Well they "DO", but only in limitted cities while it is being tested. While AT&T is a "bit" more expansive (read - a lot more)
