This version of iTunes is 2.0 and AppStore ready. One minor problem . . . 2.0 isn't out yet but it will be soon!
If you find anything neat in this iTunes update be sure to share you experience

iTune 7.7
go to apple.com and refresh the screen and get the new software.
Installed just now; Found my old iPhone as new device; and re-sync again.
Seems to treat my phone as a new one. Still syncing my 1600 contacts.
Will report to you later.
Otherwise, no new additional stuff in the menu pages so far as I discovered for a few minutes.
SeaPea
And after 5 minutes, it pop up with a warning: iTunes will modify 1600 of your contact, Allow/?
Seemed like it is going to re-write everything on my old iPhone.
Scared, but letting it continued. See what would happen to the new format.
Stay tuned.Last edited by SeaPea; 07-10-2008 at 03:38 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

iTune 7.7 new features in sync
You might be lucky. I am using Win XP, and 1st Gen iPhone 1.1.4 xiphoned. Sync with Outlook all along. It just recognized my iPhone as a new USB device. and start all over again.
At last after 30 minutes, it finished. It didn't destroyed anything.
New features in Sync:
1. Sync Emails settings from my Outlook Account (settings only, not messages)
2. Sync all Calendars, from both Outlook, and also a "home" calendar
3. you can save new calendar created in iPhone into home or outlook calendar
No idea of what is Home Calendar??Last edited by SeaPea; 07-10-2008 at 04:14 AM.

I just installed, we'll see how it reacts to my iphone.
NOTE: Installer closes open applications. Also restart is requires.
When it went to close the applications, it kept trying to close the explorer process. I just clicked ignore.
**I'm using Windows Vista - FYI**

I keep checking to see if somehow it will magically sync contacts from Thunderbird, but no, not yet. Knowing apple, probably not ever.

1) Go to your itunes store home.
2) Right click on the music link and copy the address.
3) Paste into your browser.
4 I believe the id is 36.

Ok so after the install ans sync, everything all seems well.
My Outlook now has a "home" calendar added.
I added an event to the new Home calendar and synced, the events from both calendars on on my iphone side by side.
I can confirm the iphone/itouch remotes feature has made it to the release.
I had a brief moment of hope by clicking the "Check For Updates" button on the iphone screen to find, as i expected, 1.1.4 is stiil the latest release.... sigh. Oh well theres only a couple hours wait left anyways.

Here are some random pics for those of you that can't get it to work.
BTW. I was the 1st person to download from the appstore!
