Hi dmbaird, thanks for the info but were you using an unlocked 1.1.4 with iTunes 7.7 or an AT&T phone?
If unlocked was it a Zibri unlock or pwn'd
Thanks

I might be the only unlucky guy who have problem in Syncing with my outlook 2007 contact and calendars, after I update to 7.7 with 1.1.4 ziphoned, WinXP. Jesus, it took each time 30 minutes to do it. It's the 5th time I sync since last night.
I have checkdisked, repaired the outlook datafile, clear Sync History, and rebooted many times the results the same.
Probably need to go to Firmware 2.0 and try my luck again.

Solved.
Finally by reading discussion.apple my problem was solved completely.
the trick is to reset the phone's setting before sync;
downgrade first to iTunes 7.6.2 if the 7.7 corrupted your outlook .pst file
re-upgrade
export the calendar to a .csv file
remove my recurrent events in the calendar
sync
import back my calendar from .csv ignoring duplicates (to recover the recurring events)
edit back my recurring events
re-sync
Took me 5 whole days to work through. thanks to friends in the forums.
Problem probably is a bad software upgrade? can't recognized Ziphoned 1st gen iPhone; recurring events in Outlook, and perhaps more reasons God only knows.

Calendar sync bug in iTunes 7.7
Looks like there's a bug in 7.7 that means you can't sync calendar events added on your iPhone back up into Outlook. Instead it creates a new calendar in Outlook, called "Home". I've got this problem - as have loads of other angry people at http://discussions.apple.com/thread....5598&tstart=-1.
My next step is to figure out how to uninstall 7.7 and get back to a working configuration. Not happy.
