guys - you don't have to open any article to see the banner. I will unallow the previous iPhone style so folks aren't seeing it anymore.
If you have to reclick it, make sure you have cookies set to on - you should only have to choose the style once.

I have cookies on (from visited) but I confirm that you have to open this post on my 8 Gb 1.1.4 iPwn to see the yellow banner and that when you close the MMI page and open it again, you get again the 'classic' style. Also, after selecting the new style, when I add to home screen, I don't get the nice MMI icon. Hope you can fix these issues, it's nice to have a faster access to MMI from the iPhone

Hey guys - you definitely don't need to click this specific thread, heh, there's nothing possible to do that.
Its a simple Javascript which checks if you're on an iPhone or iPod Touch browser, and if you are, displays the graphic. Done. Make sure you are on the normal version of MMi on your iPhone, which should now be the only version you can see other than the iPhone version. Then click the yellow banner. Its huge.

Hopefully you fix the apple-touch-icon.png soon so it shows up again

Yup, will get it today. I thought there was one there, sorry, hadn't realized it was gone.
Will look into it!
Computer version is well laid out. We may look into new versions, but unless you'd like all our bills, ads stay. We never charge for anything, and there's a reason we can do that and still offer a large site.
Feel free to check the source, the original design we based it off was by a Spanish forum called ElForro.com I believe.
I'm guessing you jailbroke with ZiPhone, and your cookies actually don't work at all.
Try running
from Terminal on your iPhone or via SSH to your iPhone.chown mobile:wheel /var/mobile/Library/Cookies/
chown mobile:wheel /var/mobile/Library/Cookies/Cookies.plist
Your cookies definitely aren't working if you navigate away from the page and see the old style again.

how do i make it show the news page like the full site does instead of straight to forums?
and when i click "modmyi.com"
at the top of the page it goes back to the original forums page not the new one.Last edited by tattoojack; 07-09-2008 at 01:07 PM.

Also - I just realized, if you're not seeing our webclip icon, you may have the same ZiPhone issue.
Run
From Terminal or SSH to fix.chown mobile:wheel /var/mobile/Library/WebClips/
If its going back to the original style, and you used ZiPhone to jailbreak, your cookies are not working.
Try running
from Terminal on your iPhone or via SSH to your iPhonchown mobile:wheel /var/mobile/Library/Cookies/
chown mobile:wheel /var/mobile/Library/Cookies/Cookies.plistLast edited by Kyle Matthews; 07-09-2008 at 01:13 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Yeah the new forums work great on my phone, but I used ZiPhone and the frontpage didnt. I tried running those 2 lines about the cookies, rebooted and it didnt work. Seems kind of weird that the forums are fine but the frontpage isnt. Just a heads up...

Which URL are you referring to? /cmps_index.php? That shouldn't be able to be viewed from iPhone unless you manually input the URL - visiting modmyi.com from the iPhone should bring you right to the iPhone style.

I go to ht*tp://www.modmyi.com (forget the *) on my iPhone and then it redirects me to cmps_index.php and loads the home computer version although when I go to the forums whether I type in the URL or tap on the forums icon, that is set up just fine...

Thank you for this! I was contemplating putting in a site suggestion for this just yesterday. Now I can browse mmi from my iphone!

Poetic folly,
thanks for your tips and your work.
At any rate, I never used Ziphone. My current unlock/jailbreak is with Pwnage. It's possible that my cookies don't work, but i think there may be a re-direct page issue here
Also, let me clarify that the Webclips work. Indeed, I have a beautiful MMI webclip on my home screen made a long time ago when MMI offered only the 'classical' style. It's only now with the new style that when I add to my home screen, I get as webclip only the screenshot (I hope you know what I am talking about...)Last edited by marcoiac; 07-09-2008 at 04:18 PM.
