Well I'm running 1.1.1 from apple and when I installed VideosTone it caused my NetServices to stop working. I cannot SSH into the phone now. If I remove the program only and leave the Dynamic Module Loader, my services come back. So there is a bug with the program.

Anybody else experiencing the same issue? Any possible fix?

Thanks

Do all of those files go in the folder you mentioned?
You can move all those files over except the .DS_Store, that's not needed.

i really wish when you guys post new apps and hype em all up, you would post wether or not it is a paytoplay app.

i am so sick of going thru all the trouble of installing a source, then the apps needed to run this app, then the app itself, any updates or addons,
and then see i have to pay for full functionality.
then i have to uninstall it all and usually, this process f***s up my phone and i end up restoring.

stupid apps.

okay so i have a video that is without sound and i set the ringtone to "none" so whenever it rings i hear no sound at all. is there anyway to allow it to play my default ringtone instead of just nothing at all? i dont want to just convert the ringtone to aiff and put it in the folder.

i followed the procedure. Dynamic module first. Then VideoTones 1.1 Then rebooted iPhone.

Iphone had a bit of trouble restating. Apple Logo... then blank screen. So I connected to computer and iTunes. It restarted and returned to normal Home Screen. I when to Settings and enabled. Back to Installer and did the update. VT update. For mute function. Tested. Works fine with sound. Download the movie files...the 30mb one and I guess I will SSH into the phone and add the files to You put the files in /var/mobile/Media/VideoTone/Video I have not done this yet..but will. Any advise on adding the files I downloaded?

Also Yesterday after I added the Source....I had a Video Package in installer... Today its gone... Anyone know why?

Chris

I found an easy and cheap work around to getting easy video ringtones on to videotone

Download MxTube, copy the video file from its directory using finder and throw it in the video tone video folder, and done you can use youtube videos on video tone

1. It's too friggen difficult to get a video to look good and play correctly as a "VideosTone." They even suggest that you buy a $40 piece of software to convert your video to the right size?!?
2. Even if you do get the video to look right when you're ringing, try putting your phone on silent. Oh yeah, it still plays the audio. The only way to combat this is to pull the audio from your video all together and then create a ringtone of the same bit and upload them separately to their respective folders.
3. Once you have the audio separate from the video you have to set them both to play separately in the preference pane... but they don't play at the same time!!! There's really no way to sync the audio with the video!
4. Are you kidding me?!? I just wasted two hours of my life converting and cropping and moving files to find out that it doesn't work. Yeah, if I wanted to have audio that's 3 seconds ahead of my video, I'd love this app.
As it stands... it is completely worthless.
take a song... put into audacity like you would any other ringtone you create,

add 4.2 seconds of silence before the music begins,
export as mp3,
throw into iTunes and create aif
ssh

It's a new app what do you expect,, perfection?

The video it came with reminds me of some song that would be played at a club during spring break in mexico. Cheesy, but got a fast tempo.
