To get on the app store I would assume will involve Sirius itself. I wouldn't bet on it anytime soon

Has anyone had any trouble getting this to work with the T-Zones hack on 1.1.4? I installed it and logged in, got the channel line up and started listing on my wifi. But whenever I try to use it on my edge it just says Unable to Login. I know that sometimes T-zones doesn't work with certain apps but I thought that some people had it working with t-zones. Thanks

I'll take that bet...there are currently three different Sirius apps available for download directly @ Apple.com (the most popular is here). You think that site is so small they escape Sirius's legal dept?

And both uSirius and Starplyr devs say they are working on iPhone App Store versions - I doubt they'd go to the trouble if it was clearly going to be rejected.

In the future, you may want to do the slightest bit of research before taking such an absolute position.

OP: Sirius on FW 2 is in the pipeline - all that's needed is patience! Quote from StarPlayr dev's forum:

"We do have some good competition for the Sirius iPhone player. We'll see how things shake out in the next month or two.

Are those for a portable device? I dont think so. Having uSirius on a portable device could potentially limit sales of there portable radios. Im pretty certain I'm entitled to my opinion about how easy or not it will be to get it on the appstore. Thanks for the lecture though.

FYI: Neither Sirius nor XM makes a portable device using streaming as it's main content delivery method. Both lock onto satellites for a live signal - which I'm PRETTY sure the iPhone is incapable of. So I doubt they're worried about "potentially limit(ing) sales".

You're absolutely entitled to your opinion. Unfortunately, there is an actual answer to the topic you're opining on - making your speculation completely irrelevant.

They ain't combined yet. The merger cleared the FCC late last week - it will take place. It has not happened yet...and combined signals and hardware are months away (at least).

If you want XM, watch for a dedicated XM app - they're definitely around!

Regardless.. this is the app I miss the most since 2.0 update. I will be thrilled to see it on the appstore or any repository at all. Please get it out there!

After all this i forgot that I could just use my Orb server for Sirius. Its much better on the 3G phone. I used it with Edge and was difficult to say the least. Totally usable now in this fashion.

Sirius has a radio called the Stiletto, actually there are two generations of this portable satellite radio that streams Sirius Internet Radio. I use it at home and in hotels when traveling. The Stiletto does also receive satellite signals too with the radio itself or with an antenna headphone setup .

Having said the above, I would download the uSirius app in a heartbeat on my Touch.

I know about the Stiletto. That's why I said "using streaming as it's main content delivery method."

The Stiletto's primary source is still the satellite, right? I know that's how it's marketed by Sirius.

Your obviously smarter than everybody. I hope it gets released one way or the other. I really liked the app and would pay for it whether through the store or not. I do however find the Orb method to be satisfactory for the time being.

Orb doesn't seem to work over edge well, like the usirius app does. anyone hear any updates on this?
