SMSD - forward SMS and send to multiple recipients

SMSD, a native app written by amrut.joshi, is now available via Installer.app, and allows for forwarding SMS, as well as sending a single SMS to multiple recipients at once!



Apple may not have included ALL the features an iPhone user would want, but the iPhone developers are quickly filling the small gaps Apple left.

The only drawback I see so far is that it doesn't "read" the contact name from your list of contacts. It just shows the telephone number. It's still a great app, though!

I installed this http://code.google.com/p/iphone-smsd/ via installer.app on my iphone

I followed the wiki. After the installation, I clicked on the link but nothing happened.

Am I missing something?

you probably don't have the permissions changed, i'd uninstall it and simply download it through Installer. Much easier.

how hard it is to write in those features in to the apples sms? i hate using 2 apps for one purpose

How do you download it through installer? Can I change the permission using my phone? How?

It is in Ste's source, so if you have Community Sources installed, you have it in your Installer. Check Recent Packages.

I installed Community Sources and got a lot of apps but smsd is not there. i checked recent and it gave me ampaudio, ifon and iradio.

Id like to recommend a feature if anyone is listening.

When you forward a message - the person who originally SMS'd it to you - his/her name and number should automatically be embedded in the text as well - would be really helpful to know where the message originated from
