As MirrorminD mentioned, it's prob just a clause in the agreement so other companies or individuals can't make turn-by-turn software. I'm sure Apple is getting a nice few quid from TomTom to have exclusive rights on this.

If you got TomTom from anywhere other than iTunes, then no, you'll not get any help from members of this forum.

lost GPS reception in central yesterday took about 30mins to getit back whilst i was driving round in circles,,, was not amused need to dig out my reliable tomtom 710 again
