ATT giving out free 3G iPhones

No, he's all right and you're all wrong. Apple Stores will have AT&T kiosk for activating. You will not be able to buy the iPhone without a contract.

I've been wrong before but please tell me where you saw that apple will make you activate the phone before you leave the store that's rediculous. What If I want to buy one for my Mom who lives 3K miles away or what if I want to buy two. Do you think that apple will not allow this.

And before you flip again I might be wrong. I'm just looking for proof of this.

Oh and my get a Curve for $50 now and then sign another contract in a month is still a good idea no?

Damn, I bought mine on the 24th and the douche behind the counter told me that the 3g will not come out and it's just a myth and if it actually does come out it will be in like 6 months. This really makes me depressed

I think the "store" activation will be similar to what we have now through iTunes so I don't think JB will be any different.

I'm guessing the store will be the same with an extra step that tags your iPhone to an account. That way if you need to restore/upgrade at your home it'll activate through iTunes without any problem.

Nope, just renew and drop $199/299 and you're set. (your plan will increase by $10 due to the more expensive 3G data plan)

Am I the only one here that doesn't think 3G is worth the extra 10 bucks a month ? No tethering, just faster browsing ? IS edge that slow for everyone that 3G seems worth 10 bucks more a month. : \ ... just sayin.
