All the new hype and everything, but still no copy and paste and/or flash support, no saving attachments eventhough we're getting Exchange support, oh STILL no video and how can I forget... NO MMS message either...

honestly, what's the sense of having this phone if you don't have 3G in your area? you'll jjust have an old iPhone 1.0 with a crappy plastic back and NO (well, VERY FEW) upgrades!
also, if you DO have 3G in your area, 3G is proven to drain your battery as much as up to 54% faster!!!!!!
is that really worth it in the end?
not in my opinion...Last edited by kilroy007; 06-11-2008 at 07:38 PM.

I would guess the back isn't "crappy plastic". There are a lot of great plastics out there, that are actually stronger than steel. [plastic used on Glocks.]
I actually like the plastic back, if it doesn't scratch easily. I think it might make a better grip, because right now the stock phone has sucky grip.wwjd

Are you seriously that shallow? Wow. So, based on this genius, it should be expensive so only spoiled little brats can own it then brag about it on the Internet. ugh. Grow up.
As far as the iPhone 3G goes, and from a former Tilt owner, this next generation one is just crap with a new shine on it. GPS, great. Different colored plastic backs? Who cares. Where's the MMS that a Boost Mobile phone even has? Video? Christ, even the new lg phone has touch, video, and a front facing camera for video calls. Just 3G and GPS? Apple is full of morons. I'm totally convinced now. How, out of all of the people working on this project, did they say "hmm, lemme send an mms to my gf at home during my lunch break here at Apple Headquarters, but I guess I'll use my Tilt since we're friggin idiots for not putting it in our super cool phone". *sigh*
IDIOTS! MMS, Video, Front facing cam since HELLO! EUROPE IS WAY AHEAD OF US ON THAT ONE! GPS, and Jesus Christ can you add some boost to that shitty camera along with some basic functions?

Actually apple is not full of morons as the guy above stated. They are full of marketing geniuses and the fact is that MMS and video and video conferencing were excluded ON PURPOSE so that next year they can come out with yet ANOTHER iPhone which we will all scurry out and buy just like we do every year with the new iPod and the new Mac. It's a freaking business STRATEGY! If they gave us 3G, and video, and MMS, and GPS all on the first iPhone then how would they get everyone to keep buying the phone over and over again?! THINK PEOPLE!! It's not all about YOU... it's about STOCK prices and maximizing PROFIT.

What? That may be your interpretation of "genius", but it's idiotic to piss-off the people you're trying to attract to buy your product. Guess what? Myself, along with MANY other dissatisfied customers wont be getting this next iPhone and going back to the Tilt or the new lg phone that looks awesome, and "complete". Maybe lg didn't wanna drag their *** and just went for as near-perfect as they could get. Crazy huh? Yeah, great strategy for Apple. They're losing customers cause they wanna bait us for another year? Oh, stick around and the 3rd one MIGHT have it! lol. I sure hope you're not a business major.

Believe it or not, Apple's marketing is just a slight bit larger than catering to the whims of the VERY few people like you who may be disappointed in certain aspects of its new iPhone. The hundreds of thousands (conservatively speaking) of new customers rolling into the ranks of iPhone purchasers due to the new pricing structure and features will, in the minds of the marketing people at both Apple and ATT, more than make up for any minor loss of the small number of people such as yourself.
Plus, having been a Windows Mobile user for many many years, have fun going back to that platform. While it admittedly does have some features and functions that the iPhone does not provide, the stability of the platform is sorely lacking, its innovation is years out of touch, and the build quality of many of the WM phones offered is greatly lacking. But, to each his own.
You can't. Trolls....

i heard that they will be activating the phones at the store" yes even at the apples stores" so it`ll be kinda hard to unlock one without contract.anyone knows something more about this issue?cause i really dont wanna sign contract with at&t cause its kinda expensive with them.

I agree with ya 100% on the stability of the WM platform, but, as a ROM cook myself I had no issues with my Tilt whatsoever once I installed a custom made ROM. The main reason I sold it and suck with the iPhone was for size, and the belief that Apple would include the missing basics in the next gen iPhone. I can't stress the shock of finding out that an incredibly intelligent monster company like Apple could be so inapt to include the very thing almost EVERY cell-phone user uses daily. Sending pics and little video clips is just so common. I'm not using my Startac anymore lol. So why have a phone that doesn't support all the features available? Also, having GPS along with Tom Tom and Mio Maps readily available in my Tilt came in very handy! If Apple is so concerned with making money, they could own this entire market if they made a phone that incorporates ALL features now available in other phones. What I think is standard would be MMS and Video IMHO. Sucks that it's not gonna be in this next iPhone, but I'm looking for a complete device, not one that has a lot of hype around it. My original iPhone will serve as a backup like it did to the Tilt I suppose.
