But its fun to look at anyways. If you didn't understand the title this has been deemed fake.

Gizmodo says its a fake because apple would never ship the iphone in a cardboard box, but if you look carefully, you can see that the iphone is actually in a box similar to the original iphone box. the cardboard is just what the iphone box was shipped in... Just something to spectulate

Display Model?
Since the iPhone shown has its own individual box, inside the cardboard box. It appears this could be a display model of some kind, why would Apple send such a large box with one iPhone in it?

That has got to be the saddest excuse for a camera lens ever. Its just a grey dot, it isnt even curved to the phones shape.

i think its real... if you look at the envelope it says cant be opened till june 10th (can only see part of sentence) it has a CD for the new itunes so the store can activate the demo phone before release. its in one of the boxes like the first Gen iPhone. if you look at the screen you can see were a finger removed some dust. and the cardboard box is what they delivered the iphones in for the first release (i was in line (first in line! woo hoo! =]) and they were delivered 3 days before release, with security guards(for hype in my opinion))
so i think its realIf i helped hit Thanks!

I don't see why this is being marked as fake. It's probably the most realistic picture of a supposed 3G iPhone to date. I think there could be a probability that this is an actual shot that an AT&T employee or someone connected to the deliveries took of a display iPhone's unboxing.

the pic is legit...the packing is right on with the way apple packages items, the cd or dvd can product info and training guide for the store.
