i swear i read somewhere that it's not just only going to be AT&T that has to offer this option of pro-rated cancellation fees. I believe that all phone carriers in US is gonna have to because of a court ruling with the FCC. Might just be that AT&T is first to implement new requirements. If this were actually confirmed. It would benefit AT&T to come out with this option first; attracting customers to their service for that psrticular "option" and the consumer doesn't realize this would be available via all carriers in near future.

yeah, carrier contracts suck, i hate how they make u sign 2 yr contracts just to get a discount phone
