Now if they could make PSX or n64 games run at full speed with sound, I would consider getting one then, but its just not going to happen with the limitations of the hardware.
NES and SNES ems run fine for me.

"The iControlPad is already supported by some of the biggest iPhone devs (including ZodTTD - PSX, GBA emu etc.)" Yes, the controller will support PSX and GBA. Don't worry, alot of devs including myself, already support it.

The iControlPad hardware is beyond the concept phase, and beyond it's first prototype. It's actual hardware now and has working software behind it.

It will be released, it will work with all my projects, and it will be easy to implement by other developers in their projects as well. Welcome to homebrew gaming on the iPhone and iPod Touch everyone!

I assume by supporting it, you mean you *will* be supporting it? Trying to clear up any sort of miscommunication.

iControlPads for developers haven't been released yet. Though when they will be, it will be announced via the official site icontrolpad.com as well as zodttd.com.

I have both an iPhone and a PSP & in terms of gaming, iPhone does not own PSP sorry. =\ Even with this device, while a neat and great idea, it adds bulk to the sleek iPhone (and making it ugly to boot), and in the end the iPhone's screen size just can't compete with the bigger screen of the PSP. One reason why I don't even bother with iPhone emus is because your fingers end up having to block like half the picture. =\

with the money you will pay for this control pad you might be able to buy a sweet usb controller and play emulators on your computer and pay for the gas you'll use to drive to the store or better yet buy an nes/snes off ebay with 100 games. I really dont see this being priced at a reasonable amount. Unless they have people in china making it for .17 cents a unit this isnt going to be worth it. But I guess we'll see how many games it supports and the price then weigh out the options..

If they conformed to the SDK when creating the interface then there might be some value in it....

They don't really explain much on their site.

actually the genesis one i have works the best its the only one i use now i play a ton of different games just dont enable sound its what slows the app down my fav's right now are shinobi 3, street fighter 2, madden 98, nhl 98, nba jam, earthworm jim, ultimate Mortal kombat 3, and road rash which all work great. id buy the controller even if they don't make them public id pay to have on made
