A guy i work with has a brother who is a store manager for AT&T in Delaware and the stores are suposedly getting their first shipments on June 2nd. Now he doesnt know if they are coming out early to get ready for the upcoming launch or indeed coming out before then but he (the brother) has been directly told by regional management that they should expect delivery on the 2nd and that no vacations full staff levels are to be adhered to the following week. Sooooo take it for what its worth.

I myself on the other hand am thining I may want to hold off on the 3G for a few months. I mean if Apple is releasing as many units as they say they are WORLDWIDE, how is that going to affect build quality. Not saying Apple puts out a bad product, but millions of phone being put on the street across the globe in a matter of weeks kinda has me leary.....

Thats a good point seanobx, remember when the iphone first came out a lot had battery issues or usage stats not updating so that is a good possibility. Whenever something gets mass-produced there are always going to be some bad ones lets just hope its kept til a minimal though

So we're less then 3 weeks away from launch of the new 3g iPhone, yet there is no promo about them anywhere? I mean we have confirmed this and that, but I don't see any poster put up or anything.

As this is a question that's been asked a few times, What kind of battery is it going to have that can support the massive amount of time spent blazing through the internet daily? I mean the fact that I watch movies or listen to music while traveling, along with surfing the net in hotspots or on EDGE. My battery can barely keep up now.. Imagine fast speeds on the net wherever you go. Not to mention I have TMO so its useless to purchase anyway.

And another question.... Can TMobile users use the new iPhone? I mean does EDGE still work on it? The reason for me asking is mainly because let's say the new phone WILL have the features you all have discussed and that i'd love to have; I'd have to get that phone!! No question. If this question has been answered or stated previously, my apologies. I dont remeber reading anything about it.

If it's announced on the 9th, not necessarily. Announcing is different from releasing.

i am a happy bunny with the iphone as it is, why fix what isnt broken ??

yeah 16gb or even 32gb would have been nice, but 8gb is enough for me on a phone. i have been a pocket PC owner for years and the iphone dropped in price i had to have it,
hacked and modded within 15 mins of leaving an o2 store (uk) and now having great fun with the apps you guys make
