iPhone 3G
Hey guys won't apple make the hardware drastically different from the original iphone, just like sony makes older firmware unrunable on the psp slim, so 1.1.1-1.1.4 won't run on the 3g iphone, thats why i wanted to ask you guys, should i stick to my itouch ,buy a iphone, or get the iphone 3g. i also want to use cydia, installer (i know installer won't work in 2.0 yet),term-vt100, and other apps. if 1.1.4 can't run on the 3g iphone somebody can write a emulator to run 1.1.4 inside of 2.0, just like devhook for the psp

Im conflicted, probably just as much as most of you are. My phone is in MINT condition, and I know right now I can get it sold for $450 EASY. But Like was mentioned before, if features like copy+paste, better bluetooth, etc. arent available, Ill hold on to mine. I just wish that there was more information available on the new phone. I think that it will be the truth. Thats apples style. But I dont one any iphone-less down time

05-21-2008, 12:07 PM #68i don't see that happening, and if this phone doesn't have mms, real bluetooth, and a few more features than i think apple can shove it up there u know what, for the estimated price that is... i paid $300 for my phone i'd be willing to pay as much a $400 for a 4gb which i'm sure they won't make or $500 for and 8gb but $600 or even $700 they won't sell any to anyone that isn't rich thats just my opinion

as much as I would love 3G since I sometimes travel to places where wifi is hard to find i'd love an iPhone 2.0. But I want my apps and custom icons/lockscreen. besides I think some of the places i go most often don't even have 3G so i guess i can wait.
I was going to get a 3G phone and give this one to my son for his birthday/graduation next month but guess not.
