Just to clarify, once i have done this, i need to update to 1.1.1 via itunes, using restore to 1.1.1 which i have on the desk top, using shift wait till updates then go through steps on id2.

PS. Am now at the warning of Power Source. Is it safe to continue?? How do i confirm?

i went through the process of downgrading from 1.1.2 to 1.1.1 and after i downgrade an activate i have NO carrier logo on my phone. Was just wondering if anbody else was getting the same problem???

I had a same problem well what i did is dowgraded to 1.0.2 then jailbrake and installed apps then went to installer in installed oktoprep then went back with itunes and installed the the update for 1.1.2 then went back and jailbreake the phone and worked good you can use reg jallbreake program just make sure you have java installed on your computer and extract the files to folder on your computer and run it from there.

this looks like a great lil' package of goods....

though everytime I try to virginize my 1.0.2 phone, I keep getting an error in the putty window saying

Using username "root".
Access denied

....BUT if I try to use Putty without the iDemocracy...I can log into my phone no prblem.

Update to iDemocracy 2.0.1 which patches the error you're having. And if you changed your SSH password to something other than "dottie" change it back.

After the restore comes and error, should you click on ok before you click on apptapp in iD2 ?

after i downgraded i dont have to upgrade again?

Yes, click ok on the error, then click AppTapp in iD2.

Did you try jailbreak on your phone when is in recovery mode , try see if it works first then try to update

this has some great features well done, I have an OTB iphone and am from the uk. I didn'y really know about jailbreaking well I stil don't really. I activated my iphone and am paying £35 a month with o2 which I dont mind but I would love to put 3rd party apps on my phone. Is there a way I can do this by downgrading ect. and still keep my contract safe??

se23: try holding SHIFT+update and navigate to the 1.1.1 restore file if that doesnt work download ibrickr here and enter DFU mode then SHIFT+update and navigate to the 1.1.1 restore file all within iTunes

B3DDO317: ok so you should be able to downgrade to 1.1.1 and jailbreak all the easy ways e.g "jailbreakme.com" and yet still not impact your contract but then again i dont have a UK iphone so if it doesnt work just re-upgrade to 1.1.2 and thats it its done.

Why does the "announcement" of iDemocracy show a Mac desktop when this is only for Windows? Strange. I was very excited until I saw that it was an exe!!

Looks like it's a nice app though! Wish I could give it a go!

Are you getting a clean download? Check the file size of your download, should be 31.5 MB (33,119,648 bytes)

Hi,

I've trauled through the forum but have had no luck finding an answer to a problem I've got.

I had an IPSF unlocked 1.1.1 which I Oktoprepped and upgraded to 1.1.2. I ran the 1.1.2 unlocking in ID2 which was fine, set my location to Australia then ran the SMS and Edge fixes....

So with a big smile on my face I finally have SMS short code support so can get notified of voicemails but then I notice that I no longer have a field for EDGE in /Settings/Network... Where's it gone??

I'm assuming that the EDGE "Fix" has actually removed the EDGE option so can someone please tell me how to get it back??

Process (long) was ok until Symlink, I received the following message:
"An unknow error occured in applying the Symlink, possibly related to permissions or missing files. Reinstall this app, make sure your iPhone is plugged in, and try again."

I try several times, but still don't know what is wrong. iTunes is up an the update button is activated. The ip address is correct, etc.

Any ideas???

I assume that i can downgrade it to 1.1.1 -> AppTapp and use the long method to activate the phone on 1.1.1FW right?

I'm at the AppTapp part now and stuck at booting iphone in recovery mode. It has been stuck since 10mins ago. Wondering what should i do atm beside waiting for i dunno how long more.
Can anyone advise?

So can anyone help me im using the apptapp installer at the moment and its taking a while but I don't have a clue what to do afterwards I have a contract with o2 and dont want it to muck up I only want 3rd party apps not sim unlocking. My problem: I have downgraded my phone from 1.1.2 down to 1.0.2 and activated it. I successfully ran the symlink and the update button in iTunes is clickable. I have tried to shift-click the update button and select the 1.1.1 restore file and I have also tried to regular click the update button. Which is correct? Both are giving me problems.
