Thread: 1.1.2 unlocked!
11-09-2007, 06:35 PM #1
The iPhone elite dev team says they've unlocked 1.1.2. Downloads are here on the Google code site. This is unconfirmed and untested as of right now, but if you just can't wait to get your 1.1.2 iPhone unlocked, there you go. Someone ping us in the comments below and let us know if it works for real.
Click here for the anysim 1.1.2 download
pf edit: as of yet the lockdownd issue is NOT resolved, so we do NOT have a SIM unlock for 1.1.2.

Its the Application ANYSIM 1.1.2... So yes they can unlock 1.1.2.

UPDATE: The team has basically figured out a way to downgrade 1.1.2 to 1.0.2 or 1.1.1 and unlock it. They haven't actually unlocked the 1.1.2 iPhone, because it hasn't been jailbroken yet, but they have unlocked the new modem firmware.

I had unlocked (with FW 1.1.1) using Anysim 1.1
Once unlocked, always unlocked. Right ?
or will I have to unlock again using Anysim 1.2 ?
Also, correct me if I'm wrong. the phone only has 5 unlock attempts, anySIM / iUnlock take one each time, IPSF takes none if you use all these attempts you may be permanently bricked. Is this true ?
So if you have to re-unlock each firmware, how many lives do your iPhone has left ?
Does the virginizing tool reset the lock count attempts ?
Well, I need to send/receive email in Brazilian Portugese so its tempting. Thai too but I hear no Thai in 1.1.2
But I'll wait.
I hope I can switch languages back and forth.

Very cool. I wonder if by upgrading to 1.1.2 it is like flashing the device? In the mobile phone world that is what is done to upgrade f/w's. If that's the case 99% of the time the phone is wiped out and then given new data (hence the update). But maybe not the case for the iPhone? If that is the case then there MUST be a file that contains the info on 'unlocking' or modding of the baseband attempts. Couldn't we find a way to hack it?

Guys, iphone elite devs already fixed the "how many times iphone can be flashed" issue.
Its right in their revirginizer instructions.
Will this reset the NCK counter?
