Anyone notice their battery draining quicker since installing Orb on their iphone?

At the end of a work day with no use, I only have 1/4 battery left.
I do charge every night, and only ever noticed this kind of drain with heavy use.

Check to make sure you are exiting Orb when you are done otherwise it will run continually in the background.

I picked up a Win-TV 1600. Absolutely beautiful. Everything is working great now.

This is the same tuner card I have. I have configured it to find 76 analog channels, however when I try to enter my zip in the OebLive TV Setup it just shows an empty box. Thus when I try to access live tv from my phone I get the orb -1 error crap. How did you get this working?

PS can you configure it to get digital channels through a set top box?

The first thing you need to try is whether you can play this video via your browser. Go to mycast.orb.com and enter the username/password your user for iphone. See whether that works or not? If you can see the stream via your browser then it will also work on your phone.

Confirming that the VLC plugin from Checksumcoder alllows you to stream your slingbox content using the Orb on the iphone. One cant' switch channels from iphone so its' best to wait for the native slingbox client on the iphone.

Absolutely it works... I'm streaming right now as I write. I downloaded the latest SDKkit Beta Version 4, it has a readme file that has instructions on how to configure the VLC player to connect to your slingbox. That is the first step to see the stream in the VLC player instead of slingbox client on your PC.

The next step is to pick the stream option and broadcasts the stream to your local machine with default port 1234. Pick the encapsulation method as asf, Video Codec as Div3 and Audio codec as Mp3 to play via Windows Media Player.

File>open network stream>tick stream/save customize has sling. Settings: [this is where i think im going wrong]. outputs play locally ticked and HTTP ticked with 127.0.0.1 Port1234 ASF/DIV3+MP3

Then in orb. Add custom feed. Address http://127.0.0.1:1234. Feed sucesssfully added. When i go to orblive though on iphone, non found.

Can you see what im doing wrong?

We have some minor differences and hopefully that should resolve the issue at your end too. When I go into Stream Settings, I click on play locally and http option but leave the ip address blank (I believe it automatically picks it up), I've left the default port to 1234.

When I add the custom feed, I'm using my DSL IP (not my local IP) since I'm using a router I then forward all the requests to port 1234 to my pc running the VLC and Orb. Then I connect from my orb on the iphone.
For some reason using the local address to configure the Orb did not work for me

Give that a try, and let me know.

Is anyone else having Audio problems with your phone after installing like that one kid? Or was it just him? And, DOES it work with tzones? I mean, ive heard people say "edge" but not tzones specifically. And if it does, someone should make a video of them using it with edge ( tzones ) and post it for the Masses ( us ) to see.

This app was a total waste of time for me today. It would work one minute then it wouldn't. Kept getting errors over and over. I can't wait for slingplayer to come out.

Am I the only one that cannot get this to install. WINScP'd and saw that it was installed but when i got to the icon it shows the load screen and BOOM back to the springboad. Will somebody plz shed some light on this problem. It's driving me insane.

Man your not the only one, I've uninstalled, reinstalled and set all permissions to 0755 like 5 times now and it still crashes back to the springboard after a couple secondsWTF! I've been waiting for this for so long since I couldn't use the old web app and now the damn program won't even open!

Is this TV Tuner compatible with DirecTV and OrbLive? And can I stream MPEG-4 HD Channels to my Computer through this, if so how? And can my iPhone then get the MPEG-4 HD Channels in at least 720p HD?

If this TV Tuner Card cannt do this, then please suggest one that does, and it has to work on Windows XP.

Gosh, can't find this application on Installer. Got the 3G with 2.0.2 and a Beta installer that I can't seem to uninstall. Have the STE Community installed and still can't find it when I search under Installer. Any other Sources for it under Cydia perhaps?

EDIT: I see that is has not been ported to 2.0.2 and that is why it does not appear on Installer or Cydia ;-(
