This app is totally cool - very nice eye-candy!

Adding a lot of movies will fill your system partition quickly.
Do this to move the folder to the media partition: (similar to what BossTool does)

cp -R /Library/Skrew /private/var
rm -R /Library/Skrew
ln -s /private/var/Skrew /Library/Skrew

Thanks to all who are uploading the vids - they are great!

Edit: As from v0.6 you don't need to worry about this anymore. The movies are now stored on the media partition by default:
/private/var/mobile/Media/Skrew/Videos

when I enter the first line in terminal it says no directory found?

for those making the video wallpapers...
- first, thanks for your work!
- second, for the wallpapers to look their best, it is important to consider how they loop - meaning the end of the video should seemlessly match the beginning of the video.
- these video wallpapers share many similarities with the Windows Dreamscenes/Stardock Deskscapes. It would be great for folks to look here - http://dream.wincustomize.com/ - to get some ideas, and also to perhaps convert some of these videos to the proper format for the iPhone.

I have a dreamscape that is a green flame.. the dreamscape is called Necromancy.Dream . its absolutely sick and would make for an awesome background. ive done some reading and apparently you cannot convert a .dream file into any other format. If anyone knows how i can get this on to my phone it would be awesome. Ive spent all morning looking for anything similar and i cannot find anything

Hi,
Is anyone having this problem? I installed a video that is 320 x 480 and it plays, but the problem is that it plays it in portrait mode and you can see the top and bottom of my background. It also cuts the sides off the video while playing in portrait mode. Is there something i am doing wrong? a setting? Thanks in advance!

im pretty sure this app messed my phone up,
it was fine before, and now, i have the frozen apple spinning thing, and virbrates when i plug it in,
im on 1.1.4 Pwnage.
just happend after reboot and never rebooted.
i will try figure out what the hell is going on and keep you updated, just a warning to others.
**UPDATE***
tryed full restore with my Pwnage ipsw in itunes, worked, then crashed back to frozen spinner of death.
ive try kicking it into DFU mode but it wont go, normally i can do this first go, so somethings up.

Completely messed my phone up as well, can make calls, but cannot play any video or music files ??
No sound from speaker at all, not even the click when you press an app

Well I managed to get everything installed, had to go to the official website to tell me to add the source manually. Anyways, here my contribution, Tia Tanaka: http://rapidshare.com/files/111069716/Tanaka.mp4.html I'ts a short 4mb clip, the quality gets a lil messy in the beginning.

Thanks so much b3nny for that tip, it saved me from going insane! I freed up some space by uninstalling some unwanted apps and it works flawlessly. a note to others posting their problems and saying that it crashed their system having to do a restore please mention what firmware version you were on and what important things you had installed so we can take note. (catapiller, ringtone app, etc.)

I tried doing it again, but for some reason it is giving me the same response on terminal. I am doing this on the iphone itself so it might be just me, i dont know, lol. Here is a screenshot of it so you can see what I am doing or doing wrong, haha.

You have to convert the video to play in 480 x 320 landscape.

Ok, I figured out why I got that "Error: main script execution failed". I (temporarily) had to change ownership (using WinSCP on Win XP) of Installer.app to root (instead of mobile), because it is schanging files in folders owned by root. Hope this helps anyone...

I KNOW WHAT YOUR PROBLEM IS!! the problem is that you are out of space in your apps partition. normally people would fix this problem with bosstool, but it doesn't work with 1.1.4 which is why i've had this problem as well. bosstool will, however, tell you how much space is left on that partition (something installer.app STILL doesn't do). so go ahead and install it and check out your freespace (BUT DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MOVE YOUR APPLICATIONS TO THE MEDIA PARTITION, its not supported in 1.1.4 yet and some people have had bad stuff happen from trying). i garuntee it'll say you have less space than the size of the movie you're trying move over with cyberduck. i uninstalled a bunch of apps i don't use, and deleted all the other vwallpaper movies in order to make room, and then cyberduck let me make the transfer.

anyone know how to move apps to media partition on 1.1.4???

I have to disagree with you on bosstool not working for 1.1.4 as it does for me. I had 20mb left when I installed vWallpaper and I used it to move my files and it worked just fine now it says I have like 131mb.

And still my camera and snapture are both working with vWallpaper on and I don't have any problems with the ipod video playback or anyother problem for that matter. It's running flawlessly and installed it last night and my phone has been off charge all night and day and my battery hasn't lost any charge so far.
