upgraded to .5 now i dont see my videos on my phone, when i ssh into my phone they are in that file but not on my phone.

^Yeah ive toggled the off/ on switch many times and still to no avail. I also reset my settings and even went back and installed the .3 version of vwallpaper. Still didnt work. Hmm. I will paypal anyone $5 dollars who has a solution to get it to work for me. =)

Just a quick one guys iv got a few videos on my iphone for my little boy is there anyway of converting them to work with vWallpaper, iirc dont the video's the iphone record have a funny format??

Uninstalled summerboard and vwallpaper. Installed only vwallpaper and ran it. Didn't work.
Turned off all wallpaper, icon on summerboard, Ran vwallpaper. Didn't work
1) Uninstalled vWallpaper
2) went to Settings --> General --> Reset --> Reset All Settings (note doing this means you will have to configure all your settings again)
3) Reinstalled vWallpaper
4) Immediately after reinstalling, exited out of Installer and at lock out screen rebooted
5) Run vWallpaper as shown in the many videos posted already. Didn't work

Did this;
To do so, type (in a terminal, remotely - I'm using WinSCP again - or on the iphone itself):

cp RingtonesHook.dylib RingtonesHook.dylib_BACKUP

cd /Applications/vWallpaper.app

cp -f RingtonesHook.dylib /Library/RingtonesApp/
And to be sure, set permissions correctly:

Reboot.

Well, i love this app...

however, now that the app freezing (such as camera etc) bugs have been fixed an issue i have found is a "black" flicker when the video sequence restarts.

I have 2 seamless looping videos, but there is a very quick black flicker between the end of the clip & its restart

other than that tho i love it.

2 loops: Blue osx style background, Paradise island (sun sand sea palm tree)
(10mb zip file - mov's - tested & working with version 0.5 by me)

but the videos have pixels which make them a little ugly, besides there are blinking sometimes after the video reloads ( try to minimize the videos length )

The island one is killing me ... i feel it

if you work more in these tow videos they will get more popularity. ( i'm counted )

IMHO, two of the BEST video wallpapers to date. They are exactly what the video wallpapers should be -
1 - subtle motion, not so much as to be distracting, but enough so that you know its a video
2 - perfect loops - the end of the video matches perfectly to the beginning, so that when it loops, you can not see the break.

Would love to see more from you!

Many thanks....im gonna be working on a few shortly, but firstly im hoping the black flicker bug gets sorted.

Can you tell me if you had the same problem? if you watch them very closely i think youll see it flicker (on the phone using vWallpaper i mean). The videos themselves are perfectly seamless & forever looping (Tested by me & my collegue)

1stly, the blinking is NOT apart of my videos, they are to do with vWallpaper itself.

2ndly, yeah alot of my old seamless loops were for screen size, i need to dig out my original premiere & after effects files and change the dimensions from there.... i quickly ran these through quicktime to change the size.... when the flicker is fixed in vWallpaper ill do more at a better quality

Ok, just to confirm, the black flicker is appearing on alot of ppls vWallpaper & there are even a few posts on the creators site forum.
So, the flicker is nothing to do with the videos.

Just installed this app on my ipod touch and still doesnt work. Do you guys think its the way i jailbroke it using iliberty because i used iliberty on my iphone and itouch or im just missing a step somewhere..uggh

I jailbroke with iLiberty+ and mine works absolutly 100% I've never had problems with any downloads.

we can see you edited the post after i posted. However had you read to start with you would have not needed to post in the first place. You can also see if you read that it tells you to delete the original file location with the files.

1. tap the vwallpaper icon
2. goto setting
3. turn off enable video
3. then tap restart springboard
4. go back into vwallpaper then setting and turn on the enable video and restart springboard again.

it should work. it worked for me. make sure theme wall paper is turned off..

I don't think you are missing any steps. I have read multiple forum threads talking about applications not working and having something to do with the jailbreaking of the device. Sometimes it is required to do the process all over again to ensure compliance with said application. I used ziphone personally and have not had a problem running the program with all the apps listed in this thread, i.e: Customize, Summerboard and Ringtones. After the latest update I have had no problems with Camera and my videos now also play even though at the start it is not as fluid as normal. Hope my 2 cents help.

I'm not sure why it would not show up in installer.You could always go into your phone to get rid of it. Do you know how to ssh into your phone?

Yeah i tried that. When i went back to settings it was already turned on after i turned it off and resprang. It did the same thing on my ipod touc

I really dont want to jailbreak it again and have to install all this again and it not work. Well ill keep an eye on this board and see what comes about. Thanks everyone for your input and i promise ill paypal anyone 7 dollars to whomever had the winning solution to my vwallpaper dillema
