**** better have picture messaging.
I'm with tmobile, and we don't really have a 3G network. But I guess I'll upgrade too. I wonder if it will get rid of the google maps' locate me and replace that with gps. I hope not. Just another thing to add to your phone bill. The locate me function works just fine for me.

if they add a pinhole camera to the front of the iphone so you can take pictures (so camera in front and back) gps (how would we pay for this feature especially for us in canada?) possibly add video recording but wont really matter since ushow is coming! and 32 gig hard drive then im definitely going to buy it!

Bet you its gonna be noticeably heavier than the first gen.
I dunno, I'm not sure yet, but I think I'll be perfectly happy with my current iPhone (No matter how good the new one looks, I won't let that win me) considering there is WiFi almost everywhere I go and and I have no need for GPS. Guess we'll see what happens.

As much as i cant wait for the 3G i was spoiled with my Tilt it ran HSDPA which is slowly becoming the new standard, it is if i recall almost 3x that of 3G. I know most of the newer at&t phones come standard with it

05-09-2008, 10:01 PM #75What to do?
So a 3G phone will get you faster download speeds on new 3G networks, as they get rolled out right? But for someone like me who is happy to catch some internet wireless through my home network, I should be fine with the GSM version, right?
I'm wondering, cause I don't think I can wait around for another six months before a 3G model is release and finally jailbroken!
Sure the phone would have some technological longevity, but who knows what security Apple and AT&T is dreaming up to protect their investments? ~I'll just be pissed if I buy a generation one phone and then the 3G phone can start the car and walk the dog.

As the post says 3g for sure. So this is what i been thinking.
I just bought an iphone yesterday. I was going to wait for the 3G but because I have tmobile (still have over a yr left on the contract) I just bought it. Even if the iphone II gets jailbroken with 3g. Im assuming that EDGE will not function therefore wipes out tmobile users for sure.
I did some research and found out that tmobile did launch there 3G network a couple of days ago in NY but rumors has it that their 3G is different then ATT&T.
What do you guys think?

ATTENTION MOD MIRROR...
as the 3G has been officially "released" can we update this thread with the actual confirmed features? I am asking this since I cannot edit your thread and this would end alot of he said/she said threads. Thanks.
