SDK beta 4 is out - OpenGL means gorgeous games

Apple sent out the email to developers Wednesday announcing the release of the 4th beta version of the iPhone SDK.

The fourth beta version of the iPhone SDK includes Xcode IDE, iPhone simulator with Open GL ES support, Interface Builder, Instruments, frameworks and samples, compilers, and Shark analysis tool.

This is what I've been waiting for. Games is probably going to be the #1 type of app I'll be buying.

EDIT: Lumines for the iPhone would kill what little productivity I have.

yeah possibly more interesting is they also released 2.0 firmware beta 5a258F, I wonder how it preforms and if anything has been added since 52240D. not to mention, does it work with pwnage 1.1.? I need answers!

God, all of these beta releases are raping my bandwidth, even with my 10 m-bit connection, lol, i cant wait fot the day that the official 1.2 firmware update comes out...

I read on Mac Rumors that if you double-tab the top bar you get Safari fullscreen in iPhone/iPod touch !

That's a nifty feature but still the only one i've come across on the net.

Post the new features when you see them or hear of them !

I don't think I'm understanding what you're saying. Safari is already fullscreen.

I'm installing it. I've been wanting to have OpenGL ES for a while to try out some stuff on the simulator. Still.. this takes 3GB of space to install.

Is this a new firmware for the iPhone? The last one I tried told me to connect it to iTunes to activate it, but it wouldn't activate it. Can someone help me resolve this problem. My phone is kind of stuck and NO way am I downgrading. Please help. If it helps I'm on a windows. Do I need to wait for a new version of WinPwn?

Well, I only read about the safari full screen thingy. I would guess that by full screen, he means that the top and bottom bars go away or something.

We'll just have to wait to see pictures or try out ourselves
