iPhone to support 3rd party apps via Web 2.0 standards
How cool is this? We can design apps for the iPhone which will integrate seamlessly, and will be designed using existing Web 2.0 standards, such as AJAX.

Wow, looks like I might be able to really justify that iPhone purchase after all - if I become an official iPhone applications developer! Oh wait, I'm already developing for Safari... SWEET!

I assume secure browsing is included, since that is a major draw of the "real" internet vs the mobile internet. Java chat I doubt, since Java runtime is limited to 5 seconds on the iPhone.
