Do I restore using iTunes to 1.1.1? I thought that would kill my phone?

My phone uses apptapp on 1.0.2. Your saying I can just plug into itunes, restore the phone which would automatically update me to 1.1.1 and then use jailbreakme.com? and i have a 1.1.1 with apptapp? please tell me yes because that would be music to my ears. im dying to get that increased spearkerphone performance with the new update.

This is genius. I just checked the site and clicked the link, and about 10 seconds later, I unlocked my phone and installer was there! I just tried the other methods and they hadn't worked and this was simply effortless. Mad props to the team that developed this! Just synched with iTunes and everything works beautifully!

Summerboard is workin, customize will not open though. You get the first screen and the it crashes....

I used this method to jailbreak and install installer, but the only app that I can get to work is Summerboard. Anything else just crashes when I open it. I tried rebooting the phone and I'm still getting te same results. Anyone have a solution?

so iam running a 1.0.2 unlocked with unlocker but wanna jump to this 1.1.1 so i need to do a restore so it locks it back to att then a fw update iam i correct? Thanx for the help

Try opening it three or four times, I'm not sure why but mine worked after doing this.

Well from my understanding, Customize hasnt yet been updated to work with 1.1.1 and Yes Summerboard does open, But if you tried to set a Theme, it does not work.

sounds pretty awesome but i downgraded to 1.0.2 using ibrikr and that gives me access to all the iphones files,,will this apptapp give me the same format on my computer when plugged in,,or does the apptapp only allow me to install what is in installer.app??

well it will give you the same access you had with 1.0.2 as soon as they reply to me how to get read/write back haha, cause the tiff exploit isnt working for me anymore.

Well how easy this jailbreak is, it does not release the iPhone/Touch for read/write access. Also, to get the applications working you should install the BSD Subsystem prior to installing the applications and they will work accordingly. All we need this little sucker to do is deliver read/write access and this would be by far the most impressive move so far.
