OK, so this is how I understand it...
a) PWN your iPhone with Winpwn
b) Create a custom ipsw with IPSWbuilder
c) Rename custom .ipsw to .zip and extract
d) copy over files from iBuilder bundle into extracted folder
e) rezip and rename to .ipsw
f) restore in iTunes to custom ipsw
It seems fairly intuitive, but I just wanted to make sure I'm doing the right thing before I take the plunge...???

its pretty cool, but i will wait for the full winpwn ( it causes my computer to artifact if i have it installed)
its kind of funny to see us windows users ahead of mac lol shut up all the "go mac" boys

This still sounds cool, but what about installer application updates.? Will your custom IPSW applications update through installer?

Sweet! I was thinking about borrowing my friend's mac tonight to pwn my firmware, but totally didn't know how to add a custom payload. Thanks for making my evening so much greater!

i understand that... but the folder generated is "iBuilder.bundle" Does this just get copied anywhere I randomly choose in the extracted ipsw contents or does it go somewhere specific. Do I copy the entire folder over or only the contents of the folder ("files & plist").... it's not intuitive.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

OK... when trying to restore to the custom firmware with the iBuilder.bundle files added to the ipsw file I get iTunes Error (1) after it finishes extracting the file. What does this mean....?
Edit: According to Hachint0sh the iBuilder bundles can only be taken over to a Mac and loaded in through that version which supports bundles. Can someone confirm?
Edit 2: iTunes would not accept my firmware with the bundle files (error 1) and would not accept the standard custom ipsw (error 10) most likely due to unsuitable boot/restore images. Going to tryu again with different custom images and without the bundle files....
Edit 3: 3 attempts with different custom boot images (from Hackint0sh custom boot image thread) that were confirmed as working have all given me Error 10 in iTunes. Going to restore back to stock and re-pwn with my Mac this evening and try it all over again... ugh!

Okay, I was pretty much totally wrong the first time...I guess you have to copy the files from the bundle over to your phone via OpenSSH or something like that AFTER jailbreaking with winpwn. The whole directory structure in iBuilder's bundle gets created on your phone after the iTunes restore, not before.

Finally, I won't have to spend days resetting and re-installing everything after restores. It just needs to come out for the Mac.

my question is if you have to just SSH it in, do you have to use winpwn to jailbreak or can you use this for any jailbroke phone by any method?

i thought the point of this app was to get all the apps and settings the way you want them, put them together with the file created by the WinPwn, compress them into a zip file, change the extension and use the file thru itunes that way.. am i wrong?
