I just installed it on XP and the program looks very unfinished to me. Half the stuff doesn't work, it seems to me. For instance, I can't type in the address bar and the right-click menus are all blank, at least on my system.

Works fine in Vista Home Premium. It's much, MUCH, faster than FF and IE.

    I found two problems:

    1) If you click the Safari button in the taskbar, it does not minimize or maximize the window, as the taskbar should.

    2) My mouse's back/forward buttons do not work in Safari, and I have to click back and forward manually.

Reported both using the bug reporting tool built in.

What was unexpected for me was how nice the screen fonts look in Safari... the font smoothing is somehow just like the fonts that are rendered on the Mac. Trying on the XP system I opened the same pages w/IE and Safari and alt-tabbed back and forth between them. The Safari-rendered page's fonts look much better to me - just as they do in OSX.

    Apple is just amazing.

I am unable to install the new beta on my OS X... anyone else got it working on OS X with Boot Camp installed? I think maybe my Boot Camp is messing something up?

Strange. It gets through the install all the way to where I have to pick the drive I want to put it on, and then tells me neither of my drives (OS X and Windows) are sufficient.

    Not a drop... weird.

Figured it out, I had Safari in a sub-folder in my Apps folder, and that was the issue. Whaddya think, Cash, should I install the new one? Any bugs? Hows it working for ya?

I've installed the beta3 on my Macbook and it is doing great so far. One issue I just ran across is suddenly some of my Dashboard widgets are acting weird. Gmail widget doesn't work, neither does Wikipedia widget, so the new webkit may either have some bugs, or might make some bugs mor e apparent.

Definitely faster when on a fast network, the new inline find is really cool, you have to try it to get it, but after it finds terms it darkens the screen and highlights the search results, very nice. And re-ordering tabs is nice too.

Seems way slower to me. Unless Apple's site is jacked up from everyone watching the keynote...
