So ... sorry, I'm confused ...
I'm on 1.0.2 with tons of 3rd party apps and no need to unlock (I'm happy with AT&T, thank you). I've been waiting for a simple point-and-click GUI that will allow me to upgrade to the 1.1.1 firmware and still use Installer.app.
Everything in your wikis and on the Installer.app site indicate that this latest version does NOT work with 1.1.1, yet after I upgraded Installer.app just a few minutes ago, the screen says that it is meant to be used with 1.1.1.
So, what do I need to do to upgrade to 1.1.1 firmware and have Installer. app ... well ... installed? If I do a clean restore first, then upgrade, will AppTapp work to re-install Installer.app? In other words, will it do the jailbreaking? Or do I have to go through the 1.1.1 jailbreak wiki instructions first?
Sorry for so many questions, but this isn't quite as easy as it was for 1.0.2.

Hello, some reason after the Update, I don't see Mobile Terminal? Is it only me?
10-19-2007, 07:08 PM #30No 1.1.1?
In AppTapp itself on my computer it doesn't even have the 1.1.1 firmware option... is this right, cuz I thought it was basically meant for 1.1.1. I had it running fine but restored my phone so that I could start over and jailbreak and everything using AppTapp. Now it looks like thats not going to work.

I'm sure Nullriver will update AppTap soon to work with 1.1.1 and Installer.
And hopefully a simple jailbreak crack =D

Im still on 1.0.2
I don't feel like losing everything (updating to 1.1.1)
So should I, or shouldn't I update to Installer 3.0
It's strange b/c some of the posts suggest 1.1.1 is recommended...yet Dash-2 says "I'm sure Nullriver will update AppTap soon to work with 1.1.1 and Installer."
What Im I missing here?
10-19-2007, 09:13 PM #36Look at these comments after Installer 3 upgrade

I can't say this is 100% for everyone else. But i'm on 1.0.2 with the new apptapp and it works perfectly for me.

I am currently running 1.0.2 with Installer 3.0 and it works fine.
1.1.1 is recommended for Installer 3.0, but works on both.
I was referring too the AppTapp program on a PC to jailbreak/install Installer.
It currently only jailbreaks 1.0.2 and install the old Installer.
You're safe to update to Installer 3.0
