The new interface is CLEAN! You can't see how much space you have anymore tho, and it's showing some old-ish files as "new", but iono, maybe it's just showing the updates as recent.

Works great! The only problem I am having is trying to download some of the Summerboard themes and it says I have to install Summerboard first (which I did, I installed the latest version of Summberboard) so maybe some of the themes have to be updated to work with the new Summerboard?? I don't know, but all in all, AWESOME!

the new installer is pretty damn cool, and works pretty good

but does ne on have an idea if the new sendsong is going to be uploaded to the installer so we can download it?

or can someone tell me how to install it manually using iphonebrowser???!!!!

The security of your upgrade has nothing to do with apptap, it depends on what you have on your phone when you try to update and the steps you take to update it, so in short: not really. Just use the guides here, they work fine.

Yeah, it only shows the welcome on the feature page every now and then, like when you first open the app. I'm sure it's just blank the rest of the time because they haven't put up anything on the featured list yet.

I'm on 1.0.2 with tons of 3rd party apps and no need to unlock (I'm happy with AT&T, thank you). I've been waiting for a simple point-and-click GUI that will allow me to upgrade to the 1.1.1 firmware and still use Installer.app.

Everything in your wikis and on the Installer.app site indicate that this latest version does NOT work with 1.1.1, yet after I upgraded Installer.app just a few minutes ago, the screen says that it is meant to be used with 1.1.1.

So, what do I need to do to upgrade to 1.1.1 firmware and have Installer. app ... well ... installed? If I do a clean restore first, then upgrade, will AppTapp work to re-install Installer.app? In other words, will it do the jailbreaking? Or do I have to go through the 1.1.1 jailbreak wiki instructions first?

Sorry for so many questions, but this isn't quite as easy as it was for 1.0.2.

I'm not sure if you can do it with Iphonebrowser (I haven't figured out how to get to the /(root) directory with that thing) but all you have to do is unzip one of the .tar files from her site and replace the whole sendsong.app folder under the / directory with the new one. Make sure you set the permissions to 0755 for all the files (just in case) except the images.

Well, I'm not the brightest when it comes to jailbreaking either and I'm also fine with AT&T but I followed the wikis and installed the Springboard patch so most third party apps, including installer, work on my phone fine, except for the occasional glitch which are all minor and fixable. But I'm pretty sure there is no in phone application that will jailbreak your phone, considering you have to apply this patch and do the other steps to actually have third party apps on your phone.

Well that might be your problem right there: "This release uses a different core repository and firmware 1.1.1 is recommended"

In AppTapp itself on my computer it doesn't even have the 1.1.1 firmware option... is this right, cuz I thought it was basically meant for 1.1.1. I had it running fine but restored my phone so that I could start over and jailbreak and everything using AppTapp. Now it looks like thats not going to work.
