Demand is high... i goofed up somewhere now i had to restore to 1.1.1 problem being i can no longer downgrade. Must be something new in the firmware. I follow the downgrade tutorial and still doens't work. I get stuck in a recovery mode loop and cant use the phone unless restoring it again (believe me) i did this several times.

Need this one touch thingy for Windows... If not im going to the apple store and using one of there Macs. LOL. All depends how long i have to wait... I miss my NES.

i can't get this to work. have a clean version of 1.1.1 installed. when i hit jailbreak and navigate to the site, hit ok after it crashes. nothing happens. is itunes suppose to be open while its jailbreaking? or keep it closed?

Even if the Windows one click Jailbreak comes out.

New Question

I just SSHed into my phone and found a new file under library and media when it first logs you in (FuGu) I saw a media sym (or something like that)
what is that? can I delete it?
It was after using this to jail break my phone.

ok so I'm kinda new to this modding thing and I want to know after the ijailbreak happens where do I install the apps from? Do I have to do the restore that itunes tells me I need to do? I am confused or maybe just stupid

my iphone was jailbreaked and i'm running 1.0.2. I have not unlocked just installed 3rd party apps.

I just want to verify that i'm ok to do this 1.1.1 jailbreak correct. (jailbroken but never unlocked)

I literally JUST finished doing this ^^

Had a completely modded 1.0.2, opened iTunes and updated to 1.1.1, then restored it. Everything is so fresh and so clean, everything works perfectly.

Now I am starting the jailbreak process for 1.1.1

This program doesn't work for me. I get this error message.

mv: rename /Applications/iJailBreak/resources/iphuc/iphonefs/rdisk0s1 to /Applications/iJailBreak/resources/iphuc/iphonefs/rdisk0s1.dmg: No such file or directory (1)

Is it best to remove the apps before doing this?

I guess I don't get this if I upgraded and syncd why do I need to restore ?

i'l do my best, but there are probably mroe informed people around:

-i removed a few apps before just for the hell of it, but i'm not sure how necessary that was.

-i didn't sync before restoring. that seems odd to me. it worked without doing so. i upgraded to 1.1.1, then ran the jailbreak.

-this actually puts installer on your phone, not apptapp. installer worked for me from the phone (after restarting). the only thing i used ssh for was the summerboard alpha because the one on installer is out of date.

Thank you so much "Cash" it worked great did took me 10mins got all my apps running great,
please note for the customize app you need to lunch it twice but it works great i rebooted my phone after installing app still no problem happy hacking guys

I guess I'm really not getting this but if you update why do you need to restore ? have no problem doing that was just wondering why.

the reason I said to restore is that if you modded your phone and do not uninstall EVERY app you put on they will show up in the installer 1.1.1 but you will not be able to use them or uninstall them.

i have sent back a couple of iPhones with battery issues AFTER i jailbroke them. SSH installed or not. I dont knoe if I will jail break this one (I got a new 1.0.2 back from Apple).
