Ipod Touch Easy Jailbreak
Wanna set your iPod touch free and install tons of wacky apps on it but don't want to muck around with the Terminal? Now you don't have to with the debut of two new apps that will jailbreak your iPod Touch from the comfort of your Intel Mac or Windows machines (yes, there are iPod touch users running Windows).
iJailBreak is an AppleScript app that takes all the fuss out of jailbreaking. At the moment it only works on Intel Macs, so our PPC friends are out of luck. Oh, and I should mention it was apparently written by two 13 year olds, which I normally wouldn't point out but it is featured prominently on their website.
touchFree is a Windows app that'll do the same thing, only on Windows (shocking, I know).
Both apps are free, though I imagine both will void your iPod touch's warranty, so run 'em at your own risk. I don't have an iPod touch myself so I haven't tried either. If you have had experiences with either sound off in the comments.

Why would it only work for the Touch?

Works great on Windows Vista and an *iPHONE*
Clean install of 1.1.1 on iPhone, never been SIM unlocked, installed without a hitch. Puts summerboard and installerapp back on the desktop. Music store still working.

Doh... Well touchFree installs Summerboard for you. However you will notice there is still an option to install Summberboard through the installer.app. Do *NOT* do that.. it will jack up your layout and if you uninstall it you will still be trashed. Dock is at the top and what not.. not helpful
Time to start over...
edit: Restores just fine.. kept all my txt and email settings, lost me music.. activated just fine.. standard restore crap. No harm no foul...Last edited by Khirsah; 10-14-2007 at 11:33 PM.

Installed BSD, Terminal, and NES and they all showed up (after a reboot) and worked fine. Interesting how summerboard scrolls left/right instead of up/down now..

Springboard, you mean spring board.
Summerboard is the application that modifies the springboard!myRepoSpace.com - Easily create your own Cydia Repo.

Right.. Summerboard.. if it was stock, it would still be Springboard, but since its been upgraded, its now running Summerboard.. which replaced Springboard.

If we're still on 1.0.2 does this update to 1.1.1 and do the jailbreak both? or what else needs to be done if we're on 1.0.2 still and jailbroken on 1.0.2 with installer.app?
