Like the title says I would like to know if its possible to make a native app that can be used to remote control an app like banshee etc... on linux. Im about to buy an iphone n would like some tips on how this could be done. I am not a programmer but would look into getting this done. I know theres a mythTV app but it looks like its all web based. Thanks everyone.

Best bet would be to install a VNC client on the iPhone and just use that to view your desktop.

I'm already aware I can do that I just want a snazy remote app like all the others you see on the app store. I suppose I can live with vnc rather than having to learn how to make the thing in the first place. If anyone can give me some Reading on how to make an app for the iPhone and how I would go about communicating with Linux I'd really appreciate it as I don't have a clue where to start. Thank you.

all i can say is lurk more. use the search function. google. the information is out there. you've just got to look for it."Somebody turn on the lights...its getting little to dark in here...I can't see you...when I'm dreaming...I can't see you....I can't see you..."
