Resize iPad graphics?
I'm trying to port the Directv iPad app (the one that lets you watch stuff on your iPad) to the iPhone 4. The app starts and I get a pop up to login, but the graphics are so big that I can't do anything. I tried resizing the png files in the app to smaller sizes, but they won't open for me. I'm using Paintbrush on my mac, but something for windows will work as well. It's not life or death. Just something to keep me occupied when the wife and kids are hogging the TV. Can anyone help me out?

Considering the DS and PSP are very very in-superior to that of the iPhone and iPad in graphics and pretty much every other aspect of gaming it's kind of ironic that they will over take Sony's and Microsoft's big boys sitting in our living rooms.

I doubt if you can resolve other issues, but meanwhile...
The png files are probably the special iPhone format png files. You might want to try installing XCode and iPhone SDK on your Mac so you can use the utilities to convert the files to normal png before resizing.
I think there are some tools you can find as well for converting PNG from iPhone to regular format.
