Very basic query regarding iPod Touch Application development

I have bought a new i Pod Touch. Was intersted to learn to develop applications for same. But got stuck with some very basic query.

1.Do I need to have a MacOS only to start with application development for iPodTouch. Or are there tools/IDE that can be used to develop the application on my windows machine.

Kindly provide hints/pointers.

Hi there. Since i`m also new to iTouch application development, hints that i can give are quite limited. So i`ll try to help as much as i can.

As far as i know, yes u need a Mac OS to start developing applications, mainly the SDK, xCode and some other stuffs. But there might be a way to work around that and develop on a windows though. Could be troublesome but currently i have no idea how.

So yeah getting a MacOS would be much easier. Just register as a Apple Developer at Apple's website and you will be able to download the SDK from there.
