i touch and i tunes

Hi
Please excuse my ignorance but i am new to jail broken itouch I have used black rain to jail break my itouch and am very happy with being able to add apps to my touch via itunes, my question is will i be able to upgrade i tunes as i am repeatedly offered an update and I would not like to lose the ability to add cracked apps to my touch.
