This is my first post, so forgive me if I am in the wrong place..
I am in the final stages of completing a web base tool, I would like to know if there a simple method for creating an Icon that sits on the Iphone main UI area but acts as a bookmark, so that when a user clicks on the icon, there is no local app, the icon simply launches the web based tool (of course the user must have web access), kinda like binding a web based tool/service such as ebay.com or amazon.com to an Icon that sits on iPhone main UI - does this makes sense? is it doable without going into another development IDE or development cycle?

Add these lines of code to your header (of cause needs image files too)
<meta name="apple-mobile-web-app-capable" content="yes" /> <meta name="apple-mobile-web-app-status-bar-style" content="black" />
<link rel="apple-touch-icon-precomposed" href="icon.png"/> <link rel="apple-touch-startup-image" href="hacker.png"/>
