    Default Creating custom slider text for themes on 3.1.2.

    hi everyone,
    been lurking on this forum for a while, but this is my first post

    i'm a new(to iphone)theme builder and am trying to figure out something...
    HOW TO INCORPORATE CUSTOM SLIDER TEXT/POWER DOWN TEXT INTO A THEME??? i know how to do all of this through the device, either by SSH or iFile, but i can't seem to figure out how to include this feature in my themes. i want the end user to be able to switch over to my theme and already have the theme specific slider and power down text, without having to do it manually.
    can anyone help??

    i mean, we can't all give advice without being an ***
    p.s. the thing that mr. nice guy suggested is what i've already been trying. if this REALLY is the way to do it, then i must have a typo some where or something

    Wow, I really hope that you are being sarcastic. Otherwise, why would you belittle someone for asking a question. That's why he's here, and what this board is for. What a dumb answer.

    i think i may have found the problem.
    i found another post somewhere, on this forum or another, where a guy had posted this:
    "AWAY_LOCK_LABEL" = ""
    i thought this meant to insert the custom text where the = is, but i see now from Douchy McDouch's post that it is supposed to be this:
    "AWAY_LOCK_LABEL" = "insert text here"
    hopefully this is my problem.

    EDIT:
    nevermind, still not working!
    i seem to be finding conflicting info on weather or not the "springboard.strings" file REALLY has to be in plist format or not. some people have indicated that the iphone will except .txt or .xml, that one only needs to convert it coming out of the device so that it can be read.
    can some one confirm/refute this? if the springboard.strings file DOES have to be in plist format, than that's probably my problem. i would have tried it out already, but i can't seem to find a .txt to .plist converter any where.
    thanks again for everyone's help.
