Anyone looking for an app to develop, please take a crack at this:

I need an application, when on/activated, runs in the background and overrides the power off button. When the power off button is pressed, the same "slide to power off" and "cancel" options are presented, but when the slider is used, I want the screen to blackout and lock, giving the appearance the phone has turned off, while in fact the phone is still on. The phone will give the appearance of "powering on" when the power button is pressed and held again. While in its "powered off" state, no sounds or vibrations should be emitted and the home button deactivated, but it is imperative the phone still be able to send and receive radio communications.

Any feedback about the possibility/difficulty of this app (e.g., caveats, requirements), or any other type of feedback, is much appreciated.
