WinSCP Problems
i have looked on every website, and seen every tutorial. WinSCP denies my password every time. i have tried "dottie" and "alpine" with the username as "root." i have ssh turned on in my iPod......what do i do to ssh???

Well the username is root and password is alpine so ur rite. But try changing Sftp to scp. And make sure ur ur iPod isn't in lock mode as in slide to unlock

Are you jailbroken? If you are, you need to install OpenSSH in Cydia and reboot in order to connect with any SSH client. If you have already done this and have never changed the root and mobile passwords on your own, I suspect someone else did (hacked your iPhone).
On your iPhone, go into Settings -> WiFi and select your Wireless network info to get the IP address. I would then recommend that you try to ping your iPhone from your computer desktop and see if you get successful replies. This will just confirm that OpenSSH is installed and is working properly on your iPhone.Last edited by reddawg; 12-20-2009 at 11:21 PM.

Theirs another way to connect to your iPhones filesystem out now. it's through a USB cable.
Install the afc2add patch from cydia first, though

if u still want a wireless connection, by any chance did u change you password? When u first open rock, with openssh installed, it asks u to change a password. This is the ssh password.
