Drop Down in springboard

Ok, so I know I've been asking about this a ton now, but I want to know about a drop down from the status bar on the springboard, like the adroids. I found this and thats a tutorial on how to make a drop down in an app, and I was wondering if anyone on here could alter that to make have a Google Search thing in it also with a button to link to Messages, or maybe even show new updates from apps you have.
