I'm a medical student and I listen to lectures (using the audiobook function) at two times speed for countless hours during the week.

I would like to develop an app that could change the iphone headphone control (the double click) to do the 30sec rewind.

What would be even better, if the app could let someone choose what the double click and triple click could do?

Is this possible? and how hard would this be? I'd love to hear from you guys. I know that there is an app on cydia that allows you to use the volume control on either the phone itself or the headphones to take a picture - I think that may be of some use. Any thoughts?
