Going back one screen, not back to main function help???

Not quite sure where this belongs, but is there a setting or an app that will allow you to go back one screen from where ever you are? For example, if I set up categories and one of my categories is games. I place all my games into that category. I want to play a game so I choose a game and start playing. When I finish that game I would like to go back into my games category, not back to all the main programs.

Is there any such function???

I'd like the same option, but don't see an easy fix.
