All in all I'd say you can built it within 30min's cause it's simply just sorting an array. Put it in a nice GUI and people will love you

    Anybody?

I also have been looking for this function for the mail. I could not find anything out there I started using ibis mail for one account that sorts the mail. Works great but there is no push with it. Do not know if that will work till something else is figured out.

do you mean sorting the emails in one account?

I was talking about different pop/imap accounts and the possibility to re-order them in the mail app. it is possible, just need to edit one plist file in the preference folder.

    works even without respring

yes I have one account with ibis I have emails for the forum that go there. I have ones from here that has a rule set up to go in to a specific folder and then other do the same. you are just trying to make the order in settings/mail then under accounts in a specific order. I do not know why that would matter. Are you looking for how to edit a .plist file?

Alright, you mean subfolders and a way to sort them.
Well, it's Imap - so I guess not possible on the iphone.

I was just trying to find a way to re-order the mail accounts because I have more than 8 and would like to see the often used on top of that list. I know how to edit the plist but it's a pain in the *** and some small app ON the iphone would be much easier and elegant, you know?

well i think you can manually do it buy adding them in that order you want them in. The one you put in first will always be on top. That is how it is for mine.

ahhhh, you are misunderstanding the situation
I found a simple way to re-order the accounts and want to put that in a small app with nice display, so that everyone with jailbreak can use it without the need of a plist editor, SSH connection and some more know how.

everything else is a pain in the *** (delete account, re-install them in the order, etc). you know?

This allows you to arrange imap accounts on your iphone but exchange accounts are still at the bottom of the list.
