Status Bar Customization.
Hi Everyone,
You know when you get your iPhone into Internet Tethering Mode with your Mac or PC.
How do you go about changing the Default Status Bar to show the same thing, to pulse and show Status text below the Time, but with a custom string instead of 'Internet Tethering', and if possible a different background color?
Cheers,

Changing the images wouldnt be too bad...as the images are located in:
System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app
Names are: INC_BaseWirelessModem.png & INC_GlowWirelessModem.png
as for the string..main files should be in System/Library/PreferenceBundles/WirelessModemSettings.bundle
Hope that hlps!

info.plist
i think. i dont acually know for sure but that would be a good place to start looking. like the same way you differ between the transparent and the solid status bar, those i believe are 1 and 2.
oh sorry im assuming your going to be creating this affect with a theme, so in the info.plist file
thats to always keep the status bar the solid grey. maybe changing it to 3? idk havnt been able to test it out. my phones not jail broken at the moment<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple Computer//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0"><dict>
<key>StatusBarMode</key>
<string>0</string>
</dict></plist>
actually scratch that. just tried it. no go. sorry mateLast edited by JustinPizzle; 08-19-2009 at 07:19 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
