Woah, my phone just did the weirdest thing!
I know I'm crazy, but I think I'm the only person in the world left with an iPhone with firmware 1.1.1. I've just been way to lazy to update, and jailbroke with the classic jailbreakme.com. I left my itunes at version 7.4.2, and I didn't feel like updating cuz I had all the apps I needed and I didn't feel like reinstalling them...
Now two years later, I updated my Tiger OS to Leopard, forcing me to replace my old 7.4.2 itunes to 8.2. and I realized that this would unjailbreak my phone, because back in the old days of 7.5, itunes 7.5 was made to unjailbreak 1.1.1 jailbroken phones. But for some reason, when I connected it to itunes 8.2, my phone not only has remained jailbroken, but its firmware make has changed to 2.0 (5A240d) and itunes thinks it has firmware 2.0 even though I have no app store.
Can this be exploited for anything neat, or should I just wipe clean my phone and start from scratch?
And if it can't be used, I thought I might just share my story as the last person with firmware 1.1.1. :P

It's cool that you're still on 1.1.1, but my question is WHY?!!?!?!
There are jailbreaks for every firmware up to 2.2.1!

I've stayed with 1.1.1 because I use fring's VOIP and I can't remember the convoluted password saved on the phone.
I also have saved games in my ROMS, and I was waiting for icontrolpad to continue them, but it doesn't seem like that's ever going to come out. (Seriously, if anyone wants to ACTUALLY start developing an icontrolpad now, you'll probably finish faster than the current dude taking forever claiming to be developing it...plus you'll make a killing.)
