having a problem with sim turbo and my sim card please HELP

i bought an ipod from the states and its locked, so i got a sim turbo to make my sim readable, it didnt work because my sim card is so old, so i had to change it to a newer one.
i did but it still doesnt work, any other sim card works but not mine, any help?
