Okay My iphone has the pink screen and when I plug it in to itunes I get the "this software has expired you need to upgrade to the latest.... blah blah blah".... you figured apple would have built a warning into the software to tell you it was about to expire... but that is another rant.... anyways how would i upgrade to beta 5? shift + restore or shift + upgrade? which do I do? Will I lose my stuff?

do I need to set the phone in a certain mode before upgrading?

Well first you need to find & d/l a copy of beta 5....Then put the phone DFU mode or you csn try it with the pink screen, then shift + restore and find the beta 5 f/w click on it. You will be able to sync contacts, music,etc, etc.

errr this is effing pissing me off....losing all my info.... why the **** doesnt itunes back up my iphone everytime i connect it?

You would know that there was a new beta to download if you actually were a developer , obviously you are not

It does if you set it up in the options

ehhh, I know but the Pros of firmware 3.0 currently outway the cons...(for me) it's just a pain in the ***, cause i lose the girls numbers lol

You will be able to sync contacts, music,apps,etc, etc. back as long as they or saved in itunes.
