What exactly do you mean by registering with a dev?
Apple sells developer "slots" to people for 99 and 299 for enterprise programming right? What comes with the 99 and what comes with 299? The slots you guys are talking about are from the 299 SDK program, is it?
If I want a slot, do I need to have an iPhone? I'm only getting the iPhone when the new one comes out. So in July. And I'm intending to develop apps. So might as well get myself ready thats why I'm here. Heh.

3.0 GM I believe doesn't check for authorization. It went straight to the activation screen. Plus everyone is saying you don't need to be registered anymore.
