No Access to Calendar via Third Party apps?!?!

Hi all, I have been reading up on tha SDK and I read somewhere that third party apps will not be able to view, alter or create calendar appointments. Can someone please confirm this or prove this wrong because that just sounds plain silly?

I believe that's correct, at least for now...the only Framework the SDK exposes for accessing built-in app data is the Address Book.
